East Coast Pools was established in April 1986 and incorporated in 1987. Until 1987, swimming pool construction and maintenance was the sole service offered. In 1987, our first retail store opened on Oleander Drive in Wilmington, North Carolina allowing us to become a full service and retail operation.
In 1991 growth allowed us to once again expand our already full service operation by opening another Division and expanding our showroom to twice its original size.
In 1995 growth again required us to relocate to our current location, 939 South Kerr Avenue in Wilmington. We expanded our showroom allowing us to also expand our chemical, parts and accessories inventory. We currently boast as having the largest selection of pool and spa chemicals as well as parts and accessories in Wilmington.
A new warehouse was also added in 1995 allowing us to meet the ever growing need for product on hand. East Coast Pools, Inc. currently stocks over 1,000 line items and adds to this amount on a monthly basis. Since 1986 East Coast Pools, Inc. has steadily grown both in customer base and product on hand.
Employees of East Coast Pools, Inc have been placed in their positions based on their experience, ability and willingness to learn new concepts in an ever changing industry.
A “woman-owned” business with hands on administrative duties performed by the President and CEO of the Corporation who has a background in accounting, banking, computer programming and served active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
Our Project Manager has been overseeing all new construction and service since 1986. He has prior experience dating back to 1976 in this field and is known state-wide for problem solving, creativity and has a knack for building our award winning inground swimming pools. He has also supervised and built concrete bank vaults for a local bank, sidewalks, driveways, MRI platforms, state projects such as the walkways at UNCW and even items for the local movie studio. Some of those items include volcanoes and various other items you have probably seen in the movies but did not realize were designed and built by East Coast Pools, Inc.
With current equipment such as service vans, trucks, gunite machine, backhoe, dump trucks and more East Coast Pools, Inc. has the know how and the necessary equipment needed to get the job done and done right.
Both residential and commercial pools are built, reconstructed, repaired and serviced by East Coast Pools, Inc. To meet the times we have been computer automated to track job progress, analyze pool and spa water and aid in the design of some of our high end pools since 1989.
We carry all state and local licenses and insurance to build vinyl lined and fiberglass swimming pools. Continued education on new construction concepts, the latest equipment, maintenance and water analysis is important to us. We attend schools and workshops several times a year to update our knowledge on this industry. When you add it all up, East Coast Pools, Inc. is dedicated to all aspects of the Swimming Pool Industry. |
